invisibleSHIELD for iPad

The invisibleSHIELD is a premium screen and body (optional) protector for the Apple iPad. Zagg, the manufacturer of the invisibleSHIELD, is the pioneer of a new generation of screen protectors that offer unrivaled performance and protection as compared to their inferior counterparts.

According to Zagg,

"ZAGG's invisibleSHIELD™ is created from an ultra-tough, patented film that is exclusive to ZAGG for covering consumer electronics. Transparent and amazingly thin, the invisibleSHIELD is designed to precisely match the contours of every device, providing unbeatable scratch protection. ZAGG's invisibleSHIELD is the world's first and best solution of its kind, and the patent-pending application process will keep gadgets looking great"

Just how tough is the invisbleSHIELD? Let's put it this way, the material that Zagg uses was originally used by the military for protecting the leading edges of helicopter blades (yes, really).

Zagg is now offering the iPad invisibleSHIELD online. Head to their website to order directly and receive free shipping.

This is a must have.

I've had an invisibleSHIELD on all my portable devices (iPhone, GPS, even my Macbook Pro) for years now. Wouldn't dream of not protecting the iPad with it.

Get smart.

Invisible Shield by Zagg is a great way to protect your iPad from scratches. Just be VERY careful when installing it that you don't soak your iPad. When you purchase it you will get an installation kit that includes a small spray bottle and a black rubber squeegee. The best "tip" I can offer is to hold the Invisible Shield after you have pealed it off the paper in one hand and spray the sticky side of it liberally. Then mist the face of your iPad gently from a distance (about a foot away) and then apply it to the device. Now the tricky part is using the squeegee. After you line up the Invisible Shield start in the middle and in a quick even motion slide the squeegee away so that the water is forced AWAY from the iPad and lands on the surface your working on instead. Good luck!
