Does the iPad support/play Adobe Flash?

No, Mobile Safari on the iPad will -- like Mobile Safari on the iPhone -- not support or play Adobe Flash content.

This was first revealed, surprisingly enough, during the announcement of the iPad when Steve Jobs visited a web site during the demonstration that contained Flash content, resulting in the appearance of the "missing plugin" icon.

Nowadays, everything will be developed in Flash and JAVA. Those two technologies are not supported in iPad means! Then WHY the iPad was launched?

Although they are not yet at the power levels to replace xenon flash devices in still cameras, high current flash LEDs have recently been used as flash sources in camera phones. The major advantages of LEDs over xenon include low voltage operation, higher efficiency, and extreme miniaturization. Thanks.
