What is the release date for the iOS 4.3 iPad firmware update?
iOS 4.3 comes to the iPad on Friday March 11, 2011. Apple plans to release the latest mobile operating system update with the iPad 2 on this date. Current iPad owners can update their firmware to iOS 4.3 for free via iTunes.
iOS 4.3 will include several improved features, such as iTunes home sharing, better Safari browser speeds, and AirPlay improvements. iPad users will also have the option of turning the mute switch back into a rotation lock switch.

If we ever talk about a feature you can’t find on your iPad, you may need to update your firmware version. To check what firmware you are running on, go to Settings -> General -> About, and look for firmware version.
