iPad Accessory Guide -- Get Info, Review, Rate and More

In case you all haven't noticed, we've been busy building up our iPad Accessory Guide. You'll find a comprehensive (but ever-growing) list of iPad accessories, as well as specs, descriptions, product photos, links to reviews -- and the ability to review and rate the product yourselves.

For those of you who pre-ordered and received any of the official iPad accessories, please head to their entries in the review guide and post your review and rating for others to see. Likewise for any third party accessories that are already shipping.

We welcome your input about the guide too, let us know what you think!

Wow that's a great comprehensive list. How can I submit a review for something that's not on the list? I got a great case from Cimo Cases (I just found this forum from another forum :P) and I can't find anywhere to post a review

ipadder - send the info on the case using our contact form and we'll get it added to the list. Then you can enter your review.

We continue to expand the list to build this as a great resource for all to use.

Please take the time to rate and review product's you've used. Your ratings can help others make decisions about what iPad accessories are right for them, and in turn, their ratings will help you with future buying decisions.

Colin,

How can there be ratings for products that have not even been released yet? I was looking through the list, and wanted to check out products that have been rated by people, because I figured those would be available for purchase and someone had some hands on with them, but most of them are still on pre-orders and have not been released for sale yet.

I'd love to see it become more interactive as people get more "stuff" for their iPads, but I'd also like to know that the ratings are based on someones actual experience with a product.

Yeah looks like some people rated stuff because they like the concept.

Hi Colin,

With the 3rd generation of iPad coming, since Apple is not proposing any new smart cover to go with, I've been looking at what brands would propose as new solution... but so far did not impress me at all.

BUT got the chance last week to get a sample from the new case OZAKI is launching on the market. Quite similar to smart case but a lot more options as positioning... offer both landscape and portrait mode. So you got a versatile protective smart case with the extra of design, personality and add-ons (stylus included).
=> check their website ozakiverse.com

I received the iCoat Slim-Y+ samples. Colors and patterns look quite attractive...
They also propose 2 other products, iCoat Slim-Y and Slim-Y++ in the same series, but different options: leather skins, color charts and extra (Stylus).

Overall product is nice, colors are bright and the leather covers attractive. Couldn't make my mind as regards which one I should get at first...

1) full front/back protection + smart cover on/off

2) Slim size vs. iPad weight
Here’s one reason you do not want to choose the wrong case for your third-generation Apple iPad: no matter how the new iPad blows everything with its latest features and technologies, it has surprisingly gained weight! And so you just want to find the best solution to avoid adding extra-weight to your iPad while you are on the move.

3) Portrait/landscape mode – Adjustable multi-angle viewing mode - Stand steadily
I definitely can’t imagine how much time I have spent to play with that iCoat slim-Y+ case since I have it on my desk! Apart from allowing you to quickly create a handy stand like any smart cover does, iCoat Slim-Y exceeds the limit and gives the freedom to stand your iPad either in a landscape or portrait mode to fulfill your needs, and that in just one simple motion, one simple flip. It looks like it offers all the options you’ve ever dreamed of since you own an iPad.
-> Portrait mode for any presentation, documents, pictures viewing, …
-> Smart cover mode
-> Landscape mode: four different angles – four different ways to display your iPad using the slim-Y option or smart case option.

The ‘Y’ shape creates a tri-axial stand, offering four more different angles and a stable platform. If you are a fast writer, heavy touching game player, don’t be afraid to challenge it, your iPad won’t move an inch no matter how heavy your typing, touching or writing is. Their new case provides you the freedom to display, view, work on your content – just to name a few things - easily, effortlessly and with maximum comfort. Very practical and fitting your business life !

4) Add-ons: detachable stylus holder, slid-in/slid-out extra stylus
Given how often I used pen for presentations, reports prior to the arrival of iPad into my life, it was almost impossible to imagine ever needing a stylus for my iPad. Meanwhile it’s also a way to give my fingers a rest!
As business person, I’m always on the move, and so what I was missing in any smart case available on the market was one which would include a stylus but having thought it has to be placed with strategy, in order not to take too much place, or to be annoying as apart from the case and occasionally embellishing the case.
OZAKI well thought about the right position of the stylus since it proposes a simple concept of slid-in/slid-out stylus in the back, with the option of interchangeable add-ons, depending on your mood, use and need.
Simple as it looks but makes a big difference to the user. Got my tools with me anywhere anytime!

5) Design/personality: 8 different patterned leather covers for their product called Slim-Y+
As Apple fan, I just do not want to be like everyone else and so I always look for some difference, some unique in the design, pattern of the case for my iPhone and iPad.
No matter you are a business person, you still have the right to be denoted among the others in a meeting room or business conference! If you are like me and are looking for a case to add some unique edge to your iPad, well iCoat Slim-Y+ could be the way to go.

It comes in eight unique patterned leather cover, each coating delivering a rich feel, unique edge with durable protection. The inner cover is also patterned making the display of your iPad a beautiful colorful landscape!
You have to admit that this is a case which has been thought in every detail, nothing has been left on side, or minimized.
Each cover has its own personality, tuning a light smooth color with a unique pattern. Each one is a piece of Art!

Thought I'd share...

BTW good to have a full list of the best accessories with users comments and ratings!
