Power adapter

Power adapter

I use my IPAD in an airplane with a 28 volt system does anyone know if the IPAD can be plugged into the system with the cigarette lighter adapter without frying it?

Thanks for your question - I don't know the answer, but didn't want you to think no one cared to respond. If you are flying commercial, I'd suggest that you ask the flight crew if anyone has used it that way so far and their results. My personal experience is that most of the Apple or Griffin branded stuff has a way of preventing overcharging and you would probably be OK. I'd stay far away from "generic" brands which may not be able to deal with the power flow.

Hopefully someone here will have more experience and be able to give you a better answer.

Thanks. I fly a private plane. Trying to get an answer from Apple is like the proverbial pulling of teeth!
