Apple screws over Adobe

Check out the new SDK. Adobe's Packager may not see the light of day thanks to new rules that prohibit cross-platform compilers:

Adobe is now suing Apple. This is going to be a long, tough battle.

A lot of indie developers use third party programs and game engines like Unity3D to create games. I wonder if this new prohibition will prevent the use of programs like that. It would be a shame if it did.

I see Apple pulling back from this, or at least enforcing irregularly (kinda like the app approvals). Like now they'll only be on the lookout for Adobe products.

Steve Jobs likes to keep us all on a very short leash. I understand his reasoning, but it sure makes other platforms very enticing...

flash has been boring for a long time

99% of the time it is used just for putting ads in video ... half the sites that use it don't need it and the ones that do pay big penalties in SEO because engines can't index that crap

euthanize that crap already

Jobs really laid into Adobe yeserday with his anti-flash speech. If there were every doubts we would not be see flash on the iPad for a very long time, that put them to rest. Jobs hates flash and extends his ill will to anything having to do with Adobe - end of story.
