paying twice for iphone apps on ipad

The apps in my itunes account I already own... maybe I can download for free on ipad. But what if the same iphone app comes out for the ipad screen? This means we pay twice for the same app??

yeah, I'm not looking forward to that. iPhone apps fit on iPad, but iPad apps don't fit on iPhone.

I think we should go for universal apps so that we don't have to spend on the same app again and again..

Ditto that. Especially for the apps that cost large $$$ - like GPS apps.

But it should not be work like that, they must support each other but yes i do agree in a sense that if you have a large app which cost you much in ldpalaos money then there must be a way to get it on the other device of Apple too for free of charge.
