I reported this. Should this qualify as spam?

Absolutely. This person has only one post and all it is is an advertisement. Now if you, KenX, posted about an app that you had purchased wanting everyone to know how fantastic it was...that would not be spam. I so hate spamers.

No, it shouldn't! It's not spam at all. In this section of the forum--the section specifically about gaming-- we should encourage developers to share info about their new games, not ban them! In other gaming-related forums, developers play an active role, and there is a lot of back-and-forth discussion about the games. They are open to suggestions for improvements and feedback from users. To ban developers who want to talk about their games will prevent this section of the forum from thriving.

Since this site is one of the few that deal specifically with iPad games, it's important to encourage participation by developers. Without it, the forum will be dead.

I am the person who started the thread "Stopping Spammers" because I saw that there were spammers starting to slither their way into this forum. There is a huge diffence between developers talking about their games and people trying to sell DVD-converters.

I am completely against spam, but I hope that the mods and other forum members can recognize that developer participation in a gaming section is not spam.
