iOS 5 Widgets

I've had iOS 5 since beta 1, and I've always thought NotificationCenter for iPad was not as good as the one implemented on iPhone.
First of all, it looks tacked on and just moved from iPhone to iPad as if it were an afterthought, and doesn't look as refined as it does on the iPhone.
But most importantly, WHERE ARE THE WIDGETS ON IPAD?
NotificationCenter brings weather and stock widgets to iPhone and iPod touch, but iPad, which probably needs it the most since it has no built in weather or stocks app, doesn't have the widgets. Apple needs to add these to iPad, and refine NotificationCenter in the process.
