Question about "Reset All Settings"

Since syncing, the Videos app crashes whenever I attempt to watch a video. The app closes suddenly, and goes back to the home screen. (Other video apps like The ABC Player and YouTube work fine--it is only the regular apple Videos app that has the problem.)
Anyway, I searched for this on the apple forums, and naturally, I am not the only one with this problem. People in that forum are suggesting that the answer is to "reset all settings.". I am not sure I understand what this does. Will the books in my Stanza app disappear? Will my GoodReader documents vanish?? I don't want to mess up my iPad and lose data--I don't want to do anything that will require me to sync with iTunes, since I don't have access to my computer right now. (I am in the process of an international move, and my PC is on a ship...)
So, what exactly does the "reset all settings" do? Anyone know? Thanks.

Re: Question about "Reset All Settings"

"Reset all settings" brings all of your preferences, etc. to factory default but won't delete your calendar, data or media. I can't recall if I lost my Wi-Fi networks but that's no big deal.

Stay away from "Erase all content and settings" as this will wipe everything!!!

Thanks for the response. Guess I'll try the reset and see if it fixes the problem with my Videos app...wish me luck!

Re: Question about "Reset All Settings"

hi.

for resetting the ipad you just need to Choose General > Reset, then tap Reset All Settings. in this case your information like your contacts and media, such as your songs and videos, etc aren’t deleted.
