I have an iPad and a few days ago did the update to the latest version. I wasn't paying too much attention because everything on the iPad seems to work so smoothly. However, the update failed with a message saying that it could not complete for some reason. Unfortunately I didn't write it down, but tried several times and kept getting the same message. In the end I think I did a reset. In doing so, sadly I have lost all my "Notes", the "Notes" is now completely empty and I had a lot stored in there. I also lost all the pictures I created with the App "Brushes".
Is there any way I can get these back? Are they stored in a backup file on my computer, perhaps? Can I do so without losing everything else? I did lose some Apps and had to rearrange everything. All the photos and videos were removed and fortunately I had copies on my PC and was able to reinstate them.
I also did the update on the iPhone and although I did not get the same error message, I did lose some of the Apps and also they were all rearranged with some new ones added.
I was very disappointed that it all went so badly wrong. I spent a few hours trying to restore everything.
