Anyone know if the ipad will support animated wallpapers the way some of the android phones do?

Doubt it. This feature would tax the processor and drain the battery.

Nah, think about it ... this could be really cool.

Don't imagine something obnoxious. Imagine something subtle.

How about a nice vector art scene with slowly transitioning effects ... falling leaves or snow, or subtle changes elsewhere. Perhaps a slow pan or something like that.

What I'm trying to say is something environmental, rather than "in your face". It could be quite pleasant.

I'd like to see this on the iPhone too.

The Macbooks have it (wallsaver) so why couldn't iPad have it... just a thought. Would be a nice option none the less.

I could see Apple implementing this... you can already have your mac cycle through background photos in a tasteful manner.
