Apple this week announced their annual holiday shutdown of iTunes Connect will take place between December 23 and December 27. This means there will be no new apps uploaded to the App Store during the Christmas weekend. Here is the official announcement from Apple:

"The busiest season on the App Store is almost here. Make sure your apps are up-to-date and ready for the winter holidays. Other iTunes Connect and developer account features will remain available."

Netflix subscribers can now download select movies and television shows for viewing without a WiFi or cellular connection. The movies and shows available for offline viewing are all listed in the newly added Available for Download menu in version 9.0.0 of the iOS app.
