Apple sends press invites to WWDC on June 5

WWDC 2017 Invite

Apple today sent out invites to the press for its Worldwide Developers Conference on June 5, 2017. The event will take place at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose. Apple is expected to preview its new operating systems, iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS during a live keynote at 10AM PT on the opening day. Recent rumors have suggested that Apple is also planning to unveil some new hardware at the event including two new iPad Pro models, Apple TV with 4K video support and Siri Speaker.

The alleged Siri Speaker will be Apple's first home AI product launched to compete against the Amazon Echo and Google Home. KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes it will be a more expensive premium product with a high-quality sound system including seven tweeters and a subwoofer.

The new iPad Pro lineup is rumored to include a second-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro and a new 10-inch iPad to replace the current 9.7-inch model. Apple recently released an entry level 9.7-inch model in March.

The fifth-generation Apple TV will include 4k streaming support and other new features, according to Bloomberg.

You can watch a live stream of the event on supported devices at Apple's developers website.
