The award-winning Mac app that Apple previewed at its October keynote is now available for the iPad. Pixelmator has been rebuilt from the ground up specifically for iOS 8 and Apple's tablet. During the iPad demo at Apple's keynote, developer Aidas Dailide said that the photo editor is 2x faster on the iPad Air 2 thanks to Apple's new A8X processor.
Pixelmator is an advanced photo editing application that features professional effects, templates and tools that allows users to enhance images on the iPad. The app supports advanced image editing with layers and files such as PSD, JPEG, PNG, PDF and more. The app also supports iCloud Drive and Handoff, so users can open their edited images in other apps and work seamlessly between their iPads and Macs. Other features include the ability to add text to images, painting tools, one-touch color correction tools and so on.
Pixelmator is available now on the App Store at the special introductory price of $4.99.
The other image / video editing tool previewed at Apple's iPad keynote is also available on the App Store for free. Replay allows users to easily turn photos and videos stored on their Camera Roll into movies. The app features 20 video styles that users can use in 3 simple steps. The app supports all devices running iOS 7.1 or later.
