WWDC 2012: Siri Comes to New iPad

Apple has announced that they will be bringing Siri to the new iPad as part of iOS 6. Scott Forstall made the announcement at WWDC 2012 on Monday. Apple also announced that iOS 6 will feature new functionality for Siri. New features include the ability to provide sports scores and schedules, the ability to use OpenTable for reservations, the ability to launch apps and the ability to locate movie times and locations.

Jailbreakers who own the iPhone 4S have already been enjoying most of these features through the Cydia tweak AssistantExtensions. Hopefully, the jailbreaking community will add iPad support (if necessary) once iOS 6 is launched.

Remember, Siri requires an internet connection to work. Meaning it will not work all the time if your iPad is not linked to a wireless carrier for 3G/4G services.

Here is a complete list of iOS 6 features.
