Will the GarageBand app work on the original iPad (iPad 1)?

Yes, Apple has confirmed that GarageBand will be supported on the original iPad and iPad 2.

GarageBand makes it possible to record and edit music on your iPad. The application has been available for Mac OS X computers for some time. The mobile version hits the App Store on March 11, 2011.
