Microsoft has launched another ad poking fun at Apple's iPad Pro. After Apple launched a commercial comparing their 12-inch tablet to an actual computer due to its Smart Keyboard, Microsoft released its own ad claiming a keyboard doesn't make the iPad comparable to the Surface Pro 4. In the commercial, Microsoft's personal assistant, Cortana, interrupts a party being thrown by an iPad. Siri tells Cortana that the iPad is celebrating being a computer, to which Cortana disagrees.
Cortana points to the iPad's lack of an Intel i7 processor, trackpad and external ports, as why it isn't a fully-fledged computer. Cortana also notes that the iPad is not capable of running the full version of Microsoft Office, and is instead stuck using apps.
The YouTube description of the Microsoft video reads:
"Just because you call something a computer doesn’t mean it fits the description. Cortana knows that the Surface Pro 4, with its powerful Intel Core processor, detachable keyboard with real keys and a trackpad, pen, touchscreen, full Office and external ports fits the description. Everything else is just late to the party."
The video then links to a page comparing the Surface Pro 4 to the iPad Pro. The Surface Pro 4 is available from the Microsoft Store starting at $899 for the 128GB model.
