As expected, Apple did not unveil a new iPad, but that didn't mean the tablet went completely ignored. Apple updated its iPad to match the newly refreshed iPhone which introduced a new 256GB model. All iPad Pro models are now available in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB. The 9.7-inch iPad Pro starts at $599 for the WiFi model and $729 for the cellular model. The 12.9-inch iPad costs $799 for 32 GB, 128 GB for $899 and 256 GB for $999.
The iPad Air 2 is now available in only 32GB and 128GB varieties for $399 and $499.
The iPad mini 4 stayed the same while the iPad mini 2 will stick around at an entry level price of $269 for the 32GB model.
Unlike the iPhone 7, the iPad lineup did not get a new Jet Black color option or any improvements. The new storage capacities also may explain why stock of the iPad Air 2 dried up ahead of the iPhone 7 event.
Apple also introduced a variety of new colors for the iPad Silicon cases and Smart Covers on apple.com.
As for Apple's new flagship handset, the iPhone 7 will be available for pre-order on September 9 and it will begin shipping on September 16.
