New iOS Games and Apps of the Week: Power Rangers: Legacy Wars and more

The new fighting game Power Rangers: Legacy Wars has landed on the App Store just in time for the Power Rangers reboot which hits theaters today. Legacy Wars allows fans to play as a variety of legendary Rangers and villains from Angel Grove and beyond.

The game promises over 40 playable warriors "ranging from the new movie" to "classic Rangers to villains from across the Power Rangers multiverse." Players can also compete in real-time PvP battles and team up with their friends. Power Rangers: Legacy Wars is available on the App Store for free.

Capcom has continued its trend of releasing arcade classics to the App Store by porting Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando to iOS devices. So far the Japanese video game developer has released a total of three classic titles to App Store, including 1942 and Ghosts'n Goblins. Capcom also plans to release Ghouls 'N Ghosts to iOS in the future.

Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando, or better known to most fans as just Commando, is another popular run and gun arcade title. This vertical scroller was voted as one of the best shooting games for NES in 1986. It also spawned two sequels Mercs and Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3.

The iOS port is available now on the App Store for $0.99. It features new touch screen controls, leaderboards, achievements and all the original arcade action of the original.

Family Guy- Another Freakin' Mobile Game has soft launched in the Philippines letting us know it is just another match-3 freemium title. If you're still interested you can pre-register for the US version by hitting the link.

  • The Elder Scrolls: Legends (Free) Strategy card game based on the world and lore of the award-winning Elder Scrolls series.
  • Death Road to Canada ($7.99) Randomly Generated Road Trip Action-RPG where you manage a group of jerks as they explore cities, find weird people, and face up to 500 zombies at once.
  • Ellie & Max ($1.99) Puzzle game that uses both 2D and 3D mechanism.
  • Clawbert (Free) Clawbert is a lonely claw. He only has two fingers. But he has a full heart! Help Clawbert find friends. Make Clawbert happy again.
  • Construction Simulator 2 ($4.99) Build your own construction company and take the wheel at 36 original licensed construction vehicles from Caterpillar, Liebherr, Palfinger, Bell, STILL, and ATLAS.
