Adobe released its 2017 online shopping data for Cyber Monday and the holiday weekend overall. Cyber Monday was the big winner beating both Black Friday ($5.03 billion) and Thanksgiving ($2.87 billion) with an estimated $6.59 billion in sales. The biggest sellers in electronics on Monday were Apple iPads, AirPods, Google Chromecast, Samsung tablets, and Sony Playstation VR. Adobe did not mention which specific iPad or Samsung models sold the most.
Super Mario Odyssey, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Xbox topped video game sales, while PJ Masks and Hatchimals & Colleggtibles dominated toy sales.
Overall web traffic increased by 11.9 percent with mobile traffic setting a record with 47.4 percent of visits (39.9 percent smartphones, 7.6 percent tablets) and 33.1 percent of revenue. Smartphone traffic grew by 22.2 percent over last year.
Overall holiday sales (November 1st to 27th) have already seen a 16.8 percent increase which has led Adobe to predict a record breaking year.
