Apple today released two new commercials featuring the augmented reality and note taking capabilities of the iPad Pro. The first commercial features an iPad Pro user redesigning an outdoor seating area using AR. The YouTube description reads:
"With iPad Pro + iOS 11, you can use augmented reality to literally transform the world around you. Your next computer might not be a computer.".
The second ad includes the same person using the Apple Pencil and GoodNotes 4 to complete a school project on their device.
GoodNotes 4 is a note taking app for iOS devices. It allows both iPhone and iPad users to "take beautiful handwritten notes and annotate PDF documents," according to the official App Store description. Notes written on the app are searchable and synced across devices thanks to iCloud support. Users can also create notes using their keyboard, and insert images or draw perfect shapes.
GoodNotes 4 is available on the App Store for $7.99.
Both commercials are part of Apple's push to brand the iPad Pro as a PC replacement. Apple released a similar ad in 2017 featuring the same young girl using her iPad Pro in a variety of ways. The ad campaign titled, "What's a computer" highlights the many uses and power of Apple's high-end tablet.
