Toronto-based developer Snowman has announced that the sequel to Alto's Adventure will be available for the iPad, iPhone and Apple TV on Feb. 22. Alto's Odyssey will continue the adventures of the characters in the popular endless-runner.
The game was originally set to launch last summer before being delayed so Snowman could deliver players the game that they "deserved" by building things "right." After the slight delay, Odyssey is now available for pre-order on the App Store.
In the sequel, Alto and his friends leave behind the snow covered alpine hills to go an endless sandboarding journey in the desert. Players can soar above dunes, explore long-hidden temples, grind across vines, and more all while trying to master the one-button controls of the game to complete different combos.
Odyssey features 180 goals to complete, 6 characters to unlock, original music, a new Photo mode where you can snap pictures of your adventure, and iCloud support. All this comes packed in one standalone adventure.
The game is available for pre-order for $4.99. You will not be charged for the game until Feb. 22 when it is officially available for download. Remember, games will automatically download to all your devices that have automatic downloads enabled.
