New Trailer for Final Fantasy Agito Hits the Web

Hot on the heels of the release for Hitman GO, Square Enix has released a new trailer entitled, Cherry Blossom, for Final Fantasy Agito. Agito is a free-to-play RPG game designed specifically for smartphones and tablets. The game is directed by Hajime Tabata and it takes place in the same universe as the 2011 PSP Final Fantasy game Type-0.

The trailer posted above is for the Japanese release arriving in May. The video shows off the game's battle system, maps and equipment.

Agito is a lot like Type-0, where players can customize the appearance and weapons of their own character, and earn experience by exploring and completing missions. The game will also feature an evolving story line based on decisions players make during the game.

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft Now Available on the Apple App Store

Blizzard Entertainment's digital card battling game Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft is now available for the iPad. Early reviews claim that the free-to-pay title is not a pay-to-win game. According to TouchArcade, new cards are easily earned by playing the game and leveling up. Players can also earn gold by completing quest and purchase card packs via the in-game store. Of course being a freemium title Hearthstone is not without IAPs, but it looks like they are not necessary to build a competitive deck. This is great news since some gamers were expecting the worst after it was announced that the title would be free.

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft

Hearthstone is a lot like Wizards of the Coast's popular Magic: The Gathering collectible card game, except it takes place in the Warcraft universe. Players build decks of digital cards to fight in one-on-one battles against other players or computer controlled heroes. The cards are used to cast spells or summon minions to strategically defeat opponents in unranked or ranked matches.

Warhammer Quest

Warhammer Quest is an RPG / strategy game set in a fantasy medieval world filled with elves, dwarfs and so on. The game has been met with mostly positive reviews since its launch, however, it does take a little patience and a lot of love for the genre to get totally immersed.

The fight becomes a race to harness the ancient powers hidden on the islands. Are you ready for the BOOM?"

Dead Defence Adds Fifth and Final Campaign

Dead Defence may be one of the hardest and confusing Tower Defense games ever released for iOS devices, but I'm sad to see it go. Developer PlayFlock has released version 1.3.0 which brings the fifth and final campaign. The update also introduces two new monsters, a new boss, and the ability to obtain crystals for free.

Dead Defence

How you obtained crystals without paying for them was confusing in earlier versions of the game, and trying to defeat some levels without them seemed outright impossible. Being able to get crystals for free may now allow players to actually advance to the end the game, or go back and obtain a perfect score on older boards.

Jet Car Stunts 2 Now Available for Free in the App Store

The sequel to the popular racing game Jet Car Stunts is now available for free in the App Store. Jet Car Stunts 2 features the same crazy tracks and impossible jumps that made the original such a huge hit. The sequel also brings a new level creation mode and iOS 7 controller support.

Jet Car Stunts 2

Jet Car Stunts 2 is a fun racing game where players must use their jet powered car to complete outlandish tracks suspended high in the air. It can be really challenging trying to complete the impossibly long jumps while watching your rocket fuel and trying to steer your car without flipping over, all at the same time. The game can also be really addicting and sometimes frustrating as you try not to overshoot jumps and avoid crashing into walls.

Angry Birds Go Now Available for the iPad and iPhone

Rovio Entertainment's new free to play Angry Birds title is now available on the App Store. Angry Birds Go! is a soapbox racing game which features all your favorite Angry Birds characters such as Red, Stella, Moustache Pig and more.

Angry Birds Go!

Players can choose to use touch-based or tilt-based controls to steer their kart, and select between three difficulty levels for all the different stages. The game features many game modes from basic races to Fruit Splat, and it is very easy to play. The game also doesn't require any previous knowledge of the Angry Bird franchise to enjoy.

Batman: Arkham Origins Announced for iOS Devices

NetherRealm Studios, the team behind Imjustice: Gods Among Us and Batman: Arkham City Lockdown, is developing a free-to-play version of Batman: Arkham Origins for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. The game, to be released during the “console game launch window,” is a touch and swipe brawler where players will control the Dark Knight as he faces “a number of DC Comics’ most deadly assassins.”
