iOS 5 Jailbreak Released For the iPad

The iPhone Dev Team released the latest version of redsn0w for the iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, or iPod touch on Thursday. Version 0.9.9b5 is tethered for now, but it can be used with iOS 5. iPad 2 users are still stuck with JailbreakMe 3.0 which only works with iOS 4.3.3. iPhone 4S owners are totally out of luck.

iOS 5

Tethered means you will have to connect your iPad to your Mac or PC whenever you power up the device. You'll need to download iTunes 10.5 and should always backup everything before jailbreaking any device. Visit the iPhone Dev-Team Blog for download links and instructions.

Facebook to Announce iPad App the Same Day as iPhone 5

October 4th is the day new Apple CEO Tim Cook will announce the next generation iPhone(s) and the Facebook iPad app! While I'm sure some people are looking forward to the new app, it's hardly as exciting as the iPhone 5. Especially since it was already leaked in July.

Facebook

Engineer Jeff Verkoeyen said he left Facebook for Google because they have been sitting on the app since May. Apple and Facebook have had a strained relationship in the past, but things seem to be getting better between to two, since they both have a common goal to defeat Google. This is probably why Mark Zuckerberg has finally decided to release the app, and announce the revamped version of the Facebook iPhone app at the upcoming Apple media event.

New App Allows You to Save and Watch Flash Videos on Your iPad [Video]

Do you want to watch Flash video content on your iOS device, but want to keep using Safari as your browser? Skyfire has launched VideoQ, an app that allows you to continue to use Safari, while giving you the option to save and watch videos that it won't play.

iPad Adobe Flash

VideoQ is pretty easy, all you have to do is download the app from the iTunes Store and register your e-mail address. Once activated, you can save videos by e-mailing the link to Video@skyfire.com. This will save the video in your personal video queue so you can watch it later.
