Black Friday is only a few weeks away which means hundreds of retailers will soon be releasing their ads with tons of deals. The first big retailer out of the gate is Target. The big box retailer has just released a 36-page circular with deals on everything you can imagine, including Apple products.
Walmart, Best Buy and Target have posted their Black Friday sales previews and all three retailers are offering different deals on Apple iPad models. Here's a look at all of the upcoming iPad sales this November.
Walmart customers will receive a free $30 gift card when they purchase a 16GB iPad mini model for $199. The original iPad mini is normally $249. The 16GB iPad Air will also be available for $397, with a $100 Walmart gift card. These deals are being offered during different Walmart Black Friday "Events" at different times and days starting on November 27, 2014. You can visit Walmart.com to find the Black Friday event schedule for your local brick and mortar location.
Target is offering discounts on select iPad mini and iPad Air models. The 16GB Wifi-only iPad mini is now available online for $199, and every model of the iPad Air is on sale staring at $449 for 16GB Wifi-only model, and $579 for the 16GB cellular model. That's $100 off the iPad mini and $50 off the iPad Air. REDcard holders can save an additional 5%. There is limited supply and a 2 iPad limit per customer. The sale ends on 08/23/2014 at 11:59 PM PST.
The deal is available online, except for the white 16GB iPad mini, and in-store. You can also reserve a model online at Target.com and pick it up at a retail location near you.
Target is giving away a $100 gift card with the purchase of any iPad Air or iPad mini with Retina display. This means you can nab a 16GB Wi-Fi iPad Air model for only $399, making this one of the best deals we have seen for Apple's latest tablet. The deal is available for all iPad models, including any storage size and cellular versions, through Target.com.
Remember, you will have to pay full price for the tablet then your physical gift card will be sent separately, but you can use the $100 credit towards any future Target purchase. There doesn't seem to be any other fine print attached to the sale, except on returns (see below). The offer expires on 7/12/2014 at 11:59pm PST.
Target is offering $100 off the original iPad mini for Father's Day. The deal is in-store only and there seems to be very limited supply. You can find out what locations have the iPad mini in stock by using your zip code here. You can also nab a 16GB Retina display model for only $369 (normally $399) from Target's online store or at any retail location.
The original iPad mini doesn't feature a Retina display, but it will support iOS 8 when the new OS is released this fall. This means the first-generation tablet still has a lot of life left in it making the Target sale very tempting for shoppers looking for a great deal on an older model iPad.
Target is offering 15% off the first-generation iPad mini through its Cartwheel iOS app. You can also save an additional 5% when you use your Red card at any Target retail location. That's a total of 20% off the 16GB iPad mini, which makes it only $239. The Target Cartwheel deal ends on March 29, 2014, so you need to act now.
You can also save 10% on any iPad Air model with the app, and apply the 5% Target Red card bonus to any in-store purchases. Taking advantage of both discounts will allow you to nab a 16GB Wi-Fi iPad Air for only $425. This deal also ends on March 29, 2014
Target is running a special limited time deal on all new iOS devices including the iPad Air and iPad mini. The sale begins on Sunday, February 9 and ends on Saturday, February 15. The retailer is offering a $50 gift card with the purchase of a 16GB iPad Air, any model iPad mini, or a 16GB iPhone 5s. Customers can also receive a $30 gift card with the purchase of an iPhone 5c.
Target is also giving away gift cards for used iOS devices in good working condition. The Target Electronics Trade-In Program is powered by NextWorth, which we demonstrated pays more money for older devices than Walmart's trade-in program. NextWorth also pays via PayPal instead of store credit if you don't mind shipping your device directly to them.
Target has released an early preview of its Black Friday circular and it includes a few Apple products. The most notable deal is probably the 16GB iPad Air Wifi-only model for $479. That's $20 less than the normal SRP, but Target is also throwing in a free $100 gift card, essentially making the iPad Air only $379. So far this is the best deal we have seen for Apple's new tablet.
Other deals include free gift cards with the purchase of an and iPad mini, iPod touch and iPhone 5s. You can preview the entire Target Black Friday ad here. The sale begins on November 28 and ends on November 30.
The possibility of an iPad 3 launch later this fall is not a new concept. Reports as early as February claimed Apple would try to get a jump on the competition by launching an iPad 3 before Christmas. More evidence has appeared that seems to corroborate this claim.
If the screenshots of Target inventory computers found by TiPb are real, then the massive retail chain has already discontinued the iPad 2. Retail associates speaking to the blog claim that none of the current iPad models are slated to be ordered by the company going forward.
Now consumers will have a choice of three retail outlets in the US when they look to purchase an iPad this fall. Photos of a Target retail PDA that were sent to Engadget have been confirmed by a press conference announcement from the company. Target will carry all six current iPad models starting on Sunday, October 3.
Walmart now has its eyes set on the Apple tablet and hopes to carry the device by the end of 2010. Maybe they'll even knock a few dollars off the price to compete. When it comes to Target, the iPad will be situated in the Digital Audio section of the store, alongside Amazon's Kindle ebook reader.
