Yes, all current Apple devices ship with the digital personal assistant, Siri.
Siri is part of all Apple operating systems including iOS, watchOS, macOS, and tvOS. Siri can be accessed by holding down the Home button on the iPad or by saying the phrase, "Hey Siri." Siri can answer questions, make recommendations, look up sports scores, play music and more.
Unlike Apple's iPhone lineup, no iPad models are currently waterproof as of March 27, 2018. This includes the "low cost" 9.7-inch iPad, and all iPad Pro models. There are waterproof cases available for the various iPad models. Make sure that any case you select fits your iPad model before making your purchase.
The 9.7-inch iPad released on March 27, 2018 at Apple's education event in Chicago is equipped with a rear-facing 8-megapixel camera, and front-facing 1.2-megapixel camera. It is capable of shooting Live Photos and Panorama (up to 43 megapixels) photos. It also includes Autofocus, Burst Mode, Tap to focus, Auto image stabilization, Body and face detection and Photo geotagging.
Video capabilities include 1080p HD video recording, Slo‑mo (120 fps), and Time-lapse video with stabilization.
The 9.7-inch iPad model released in 2018 does ship with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Apple discontinued the headphone jack on its iPhone models, but it still remains on all iPad models. This includes both the 12.9-inch and 10.5-inch iPad Pro models and iPad mini 4.

As expected, Apple announced a new 9.7-inch iPad at its education event in Chicago. The next-generation model features similar specs to the discontinued 9.7-inch iPad Pro. It even includes Apple Pencil support and a faster A10 Fusion chip. Current iPad Pro models, like the 10.5-inch, are powered by Apple's A10X chip, as a comparison. The 9.7-inch iPad does not ship with Smart Connector and True Tone display, like the pro models.
The 9.7-inch iPad launched at Apple's education event on March 27, 2018 does support the Apple Pencil. This makes it the first non-iPad Pro model to support the $99 stylus.
Apple did release a 9.7-inch iPad Pro that supported the Apple Pencil, but it was eventually replaced by the larger 10.5-inch model. The current 9.7-inch model is also cheaper at $329 for consumers and $299 for schools.
